The gain from wireless power transmission would make the present everyday life so much more convenient eliminating wires in cell phones, laptops, and numerous rechargeable devices, also in the space industry etc. it is very needed. The idea has been around for quite some time with Nikola Tesla first trying to demonstrate it long ago but running out of funds. Since then there hasn't been much light on the subject until recently with several interests including a team at MIT. Wireless power transfer is sure to be here soon.
