Vegetable Oil Conversion Kits

Vegetable powered vehicle conversion kits are becoming more popular with our need to get off fossil fuels and the rising fuel costs. Many people have been mixing vegetable oil with diesel fuel for decades to save money and help the environment, but with the conversion kits you can run it straight. The conversion kits can use straight vegetable oil, but the idea is to use waste vegetable oil that you can get for free or at little cost. The filtering process is very easy and can be done in a matter of minutes. The system basically consists of a separate vegetable fuel tank, fuel gauge, control valve, and heated fuel lines. The heated fuel lines cut down the viscosity of the vegetable oil, and can be done several ways. (Operating) You start the vehicle on diesel to reach a high enough temperature, and then switch to vegetable oil power, and when shutting off you switch back to diesel for a few minutes to clear the engine of any vegetable oil. Most kits are only available for certain models, and the prices vary.
