Fuel Cell Cycle

A British association has developed a hydrogen powered motorcycle using fuel cells. The cycle can go about 100 miles on a tank at speeds of up to 50 m.p.h., and the cost to fill the tank is about $3 total. The fuel cell power is about that of 8 horse power. The cost of the cycle is expected at $6,000 once mass production begins. The fuel cell can be removed from the cycle and carried around in a small size case to help prevent theft since this is essentially the heart of the vehicle and most expensive part. The only issue so far is that its dangerously quiet for traffic, but a sound emitting device that can be switched on and off might be added. The cycles polluting emissions are zero. The company hopes to offer the fuel cell technology in many other vehicles eventually.
